Abstract

Un método para remover el bario, calcio, estroncio, y magnesio del flujo de retorno de fractura. Un sulfato reactivo y carbonato reactivo son mezclados con el flujo de retorno de fractura, provocando el precipitado del bario, calcio, estroncio, y magnesio. Los precipitados son cristalizados y el flujo de retorno de fractura y los cristales resultantes son separados en sólidos relativamente pesados y una corriente de sólidos relativamente livianos. La corriente de sólidos relativamente livianos es sometida a un proceso de separación adicional que produce lodo que es reciclado para ayudar en el proceso de cristalización y un efluente tratado que es reciclado hacia la operación de fracturamiento o recolección y utilización en otra operación de fracturamiento.
