Abstract
Un método para retirar bario, calcio, estroncio, y magnesio a partir de contraflujo de frac. Se mezclan un reactivo de sulfato y reactivo de carbonato con el contraflujo de frac, lo que provoca que el bario, calcio, estroncio, y magnesio se precipiten. Los precipitantes se cristalizan y el contraflujo de frac y cristales resultantes se separan en sólidos relativamente pesados y una corriente de sólidos relativamente ligeros. La corriente de sólidos relativamente ligeros se somete a un proceso de separación adicional que produce que el lodo que se recicla ayude en el proceso de cristalización y un efluente tratado el cual se recicla en la operación de fracturación o se recolecta y utiliza en otra operación de fracturación.
