Abstract
Se describe un sistema y un método para producir refinamientos locales automáticos de cuadrículas en los sistemas de simulación de yacimientos. De acuerdo con un aspecto de la presente revelación, uno de los métodos se dirige a un método ejecutado por computación del modelado de una formación. El método incluye aplicar una cuadrícula gruesa a una formación geológica de interés, cuya cuadrícula gruesa tiene una pluralidad de bloques de cuadrícula gruesa e identificar una estructura de interés dispuesta en la formación. Además, el método incluye determinar una zona de cuadrícula fina alrededor de la estructura, con base en un período de tiempo, para simular el flujo de la formación geológica y una característica geológica de la formación geológica en una región local adyacente a la estructura y aplicar una cuadrícula fina a los bloques de cuadrícula gruesa comprendidos por la zona de cuadrícula fina.
