Abstract
La presente divulgación describe una celda electroquímica que tiene una fuente de alimentación eléctrica, un ánodo, un cátodo de difusión de gas y un espacio de gas en comunicación con el cátodo de difusión de gas. El cátodo de difusión de gas incluye un recubrimiento de intercambio iónico orientado hacia el ánodo. El recubrimiento de intercambio iónico es un polímero que también protege el cátodo de difusión de gas. Una solución de alimentación fluye entre el revestimiento de intercambio iónico y el ánodo. El espacio de gas contiene por lo menos algo de gas de oxígeno que se difunde hacia el interior del cátodo de difusión de gas.
