Abstract
El método y aparato descritos separan impurezas sólidas a partir de un fluido que las contiene. El método y aparato permiten la introducción hacia varios canales de una corriente de entrada que contiene un fluido conteniendo impurezas sólidas y permiten que por lo menos una porción de esta últimas inicialmente presentes en la corriente de entrada, se sedimenten sobre superficies que miran hacia arriba de un grupo de placas que forman canales o se deslicen hacia abajo de dichas superficies que miran hacia arriba, permitiendo al mismo tiempo que el fluido en el cual se ha agotado por lo menos una porción de las impurezas sólidas fluya hacia los bordes superiores de las varias placas. Se introduce a la corriente de entrada en los varios canales en tal forma que se inhibe la alteración o perturbación de las impurezas sólidas que han sido separadas desde la corriente de entrada.
