Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para producir etanol que contenga: hidrogenizar ácido acético a partir de una corriente de alimentación de ácido acético en un reactor para obtener un producto de etanol sin tratar; separar al menos una porción del producto de etanol sin tratar en la primera columna en un primer destilado que contiene acetaldehído y acetato de etilo y un primer resido que contiene etanol, acetato de etil, agua y ácido acético; introduciendo una corriente de ácido diluido a la primera columna en un ubicación por encima del punto de alimentación del producto de etanol sin tratar y recuperar el etanol del primer residuo.
