Abstract
Sistema y método para la identificación de parcelas o porciones de los anteriores que no crecen como se esperaba. En una realización, un sistema para computadoras compara un índice del área de hojas medido de una parcela que se determina a partir de los datos enviados en forma remota con un índice del área de hojas esperado. El sistema para computadoras identifica áreas o porciones de parcelas donde el índice del área de hojas medido es mayor que el índice del área de hojas esperado y/o parcelas o porciones de parcelas donde el índice del área de hojas medido es menor que el índice del área de hojas esperado. En una realización, la comparación se utiliza para identificar parcelas o porciones de los anteriores donde tratamientos de silvicultura pueden resultar necesarios. En otra realización, los valores del índice de vegetación medido o del índice del área de hojas se usan para manejar el crecimiento de cultivos secundarios en un sector. Los valores de I o índice de área de hojas se comparan con los valores esperados para determinar si deben aplicarse tratamientos de silvicultura.
