Abstract

Un sistema para identificar plantaciones forestales dentro de un área de interés que presenta un crecimiento anormal, determina una relación entre valores del índice de vegetación (VI) determinados a partir de una primera imagen y de una segunda imagen del área de interés. A partir de la relación se determina un valor de VI previsto o predicho para cada plantación forestal, y se lo compara con el valor de VI real calculado para la plantación forestal a partir de la primera imagen. Aquellas plantaciones forestales con una diferencia entre los valores de VI real y predicho, que superen un umbral, se identifican como plantaciones forestales que presentan un crecimiento anormal.
