Abstract
La presente proporciona composiciones de sorbentes bromados que son sorbentes bromados inorgánicos que tienen alrededor de 0,5% en peso a alrededor de 20% en peso de bromo en los mismos, basado en el peso total del sorbente bromado inorgánico. Se proporcionan también métodos para la preparación de composiciones de sorbentes bromados, así como métodos para reducir emisiones de mercurio que emplean sorbentes bromados. En los métodos para la preparación de los sorbentes bromados inorgánicos, la fuente de bromo es bromo elemental y/o bromuro de hidrógeno.
