Se describe una composición de control de plagas que tiene un excelente efecto de control sobre plagas, que comprende piriproxifeno y un compuesto representado por la fórmula (1) en donde, R1 es un átomo de hidrógeno o un grupo metilo; R2 es un átomo de hidrógeno, un grupo alquilo C1-4, haloalquilo C1-4 o (alquil C1-4)carbonilo; R3 es un átomo de hidrógeno, un grupo alquilo C1-4, haloalquilo C1-4 o un grupo (alquil C1-4)carbonilo; R4 es un átomo de hidrógeno, un grupo alquilo C1-4, haloalquilo C1-4 o (alquil C1-4)carbonilo; R5 es un átomo de hidrógeno, un grupo alquilo C1-4 o alquil C1-4-amino; R6 es un átomo de hidrógeno o un grupo metilo; R7 es un grupo metilo o un grupo etilo; R8 es un grupo amino, alquil C1-4-amino o un grupo di(alquil C1-4)amino; y X1 y X2 son átomos de hidrógeno o X1 y X2 representan juntos un enlace simple.
