Abstract

En un aspecto, la presente proporciona un calentador subsuperficial que comprende: un conducto de suministro de gas combustible; un conducto de suministro de oxígeno y una carcasa externa transmisora de calor que abarca el medio refractario poroso. El conducto de suministro de gas combustible y el conducto de suministro de oxígeno están configurados como un par concéntrico dispuesto dentro de un medio refractario poroso y acoplado a una pluralidad de inyectores de gas dispuestos dentro del medio refractario poroso. El medio refractario poroso tiene dentro una pluralidad de conductos de retorno de gas de producto de combustión. Los conductos de retorno de gas de producto de combustión están configurados para recibir gases de producto de combustión del medio refractario poroso. También se proporciona en otro aspecto de la presente un método para calentar una zona subsuperficial.
