Abstract

Un látex hibrido alquido acrílico y un proceso para su preparación son ensenados. El proceso comprendo formar una fase oleosa comprendiendo un alquido, un secante y al menos un monómero insaturado etilénicamente, donde la fase oleosa solubiliza el secante; combinar la fase oleosa con una fase acuosa, donde la fase acuosa comprendo un surfactante, para formar una pre-emulsión; homogeneizar la pre-emulsión formando así una mini-emulsión, donde el secante es solubilizado en la fase oleosa; iniciar la polimerización anadiendo un radical libre iniciador, polimerizando así el al menos un monómero insaturado etilénicamente en la mini-emulsión y formando una emulsión de polímero látex teniendo tamanos de partícula de polímero látex en el rango do 40 nm a 700 nm.
