Abstract
Se proveen métodos para mejorar la resistencia de plantas a patógenos bacterianos. Los métodos consisten en transformar una planta con una molécula de polinucIeótido que comprende un promotor vegetal operativamente unido a una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica un receptor vegetal el cual se une específicamente con el factor Tu de elongación bacteriana. Además se proveen cassettes de expresión, plantas transformadas, semillas, y células vegetales que se obtienen a través de tales métodos.
