Abstract

Un método para introducir boro en un ánodo carbonado de una celda electrolítica, para la produccion de aluminio, con el objeto de mejorar la resistencia del ánodo al deterioro durante el proceso de electrolisis por el ataque de aire y de gases oxidantes liberados anodicamente, que consiste en: cocer un ánodo carbonado verde en un horno de coccion; el ánodo carbonado verde está rodeado, al menos parcialmente, de un polvo de carbon que contiene un compuesto borico, para obtener un ánodo carbonado precocido que incluye boro.
