Abstract
Un proceso y una planta para producir metanol a partir del reformado con vapor de agua, donde un gas de síntesis (13) del reformado con vapor de agua y que tiene un cierto exceso de hidrogeno es mezclado con un gas de síntesis parcialmente oxidado (26) producido en una seccion de oxidacion parcial (22) y que tiene un bajo contenido de hidrogeno, obteniendo así un reactivo gaseoso con un numero estequiométrico balanceado en el bucle de síntesis de alta presion (16). También se divulga un proceso de reacondicionamiento para plantas convencionales de metanol por reformado con vapor de agua, que provee la adicion de una seccion de oxidacion parcial (22) en paralelo a la seccion de reformado existente (12).
