Abstract

The process to produce the explosive ammonium nitrate and fuel oil (ANFO); includes mixing an oil with water to form a fuel comprising an emulsion; and mixing the emulsion with solid particulate ammonium nitrate so that the ammonium nitrate absorbs the emulsion in order to form an ANFO explosive.
