Abstract
En sistemas de entrada multiple salida multiple (MIMO) de multiplexacion por division de frecuencia ortogonal (OFDM), una unidad inalámbrica de transmision/recepcion (WTRU) selecciona un canal de acceso aleatorio (RACH) y una fase para una secuencia de autocorrelacion de amplitud constante cero (CAZAC) para una transmision de RACH. La WTRU transmite luego una transmision de RACH a un Nodo B a través del RACH seleccionado. Una vez detectada la transmision de RACH, el Nodo B envía una confirmacion (ACK) a la WTRU sobre un canal de ACK. El Nodo B puede transmitir la ACK sobre un canal compartido. La WTRU puede subir la potencia de transmision mientras que se transmite la transmision de RACH, o eleva en forma escalonada creciente la potencia de transmision de una transmision de RACH posterior. La transmision de RACH y la transmision de datos pueden ser ya sea multiplexadas con relacion al tiempo o bien, a la frecuencia. Puede definirse una pluralidad de RACHs y uno de los RACHs definidos puede ser seleccionado en forma aleatoria o en base a criterios predeterminados.
