Abstract
En una red de comunicacion, un método para reservar X intervalos para transmitir datos desde un dispositivo fuente a un dispositivo de destino a través de una retransmision de salto multiple incluye el envío de un primer requerimiento de reserva de salto desde el dispositivo fuente a un segundo dispositivo, para transmitir datos desde el dispositivo fuente al dispositivo de destino. El primer requerimiento de reserva de salto identifica el dispositivo fuente, el dispositivo de destino, y X intervalos propuestos para ser reservados para el primer salto. Entonces el dispositivo fuente recibe un primer mensaje, dirigido al dispositivo fuente desde el segundo dispositivo, indicando que el primer requerimiento de reserva de salto se encuentra pendiente y que los X intervalos propuestos por el dispositivo fuente han sido reservados por el segundo dispositivo. Después, el dispositivo fuente recibe un mensaje subsiguiente indicando si un requerimiento de reserva de salto final ha sido aceptado por el dispositivo de destino.
