Abstract

La presente está relacionada con un proceso para preparar una pulpa de alto rendimiento que comprende: a) tratar químicamente un material que contiene lignocelulosa mediante un sistema de oxidacion que comprende por lo menos un oxidante no enzimático sustancialmente libre de ozono y dioxido de cloro y un activador a un pH de aproximadamente 2 y alrededor de 6,5, y b) tratar mecánicamente el material que contiene lignocelulosa por un tiempo suficiente como para producir una pulpa de alto rendimiento, donde el material que contiene lignocelulosa es tratado químicamente antes de y/o durante cualquier etapa de tratamiento mecánico, y donde el material que contiene lignocelulosa no es químicamente tratado a un pH de aproximadamente 11,5 a alrededor de 14 entre las etapas a) y b).
