Abstract
La presente revelacion se dirigen a técnicas para codificar y decodificar efectos de transicion, es decir, efectos visuales de video que son utilizados para la transmision de una escena actual de una secuencia de multimedia. De acuerdo con la técnicas reveladas, un dispositivo de codificacion detecta un efecto de transicion asociado con una secuencia de multimedia durante la codificacion de la secuencia de multimedia, y transmite informacion como parte de una secuencia de multimedia, codificada para identificar el efecto de transicion asociada con la secuencia de multimedia codificada a un decodificador. La informacion puede comprender meta-datos que se pueden utilizar por el decodificador para simular o recrear el efecto de transicion. El codificador simula un efecto de transicion en respuesta a la informacion.
