Abstract

Diversos esquemas que facilitan una transferencia de comunicacion desde una estacion base actual a una estacion base objetivo. Una característica provee reducir el espacio de busqueda en el que una estacion base busca al proveerlo con la posicion/ubicacion y/o velocidad de un terminal de acceso con el cual intenta comunicarse. Teniendo la posicion y/o velocidad del terminal de acceso, una estacion base actual u objetivo es capaz de reducir su espacio de busqueda (por ejemplo, direccion, intervalo de frecuencia, y/o ventana de tiempo) del terminal de acceso. Otra características provee aumentar selectiva y gradualmente la potencia de una senal piloto que se origina en el terminal de acceso durante el período de adquisicion de transferencia a una estacion base objetivo. Al aumentar la potencia de la senal piloto, la estacion base tiene una mejor oportunidad de adquirir la senal y hacerlo más rápidamente.
