Abstract
Fragmentos de ácidos nucleicos aislados y construcciones que comprenden dichos fragmentos para alterar la estructura de la raíz durante el desarrollo de la planta, junto con métodos para alterar la estructura de la raíz durante el desarrollo de la planta. Además métodos para mapear variaciones genéticas relacionadas con dicha alteracion así como para aislar fragmentos de ácidos nucleicos que codifican polipéptidos asociados. Reivindicacion 1: Un polinucleotido aislado caracterizado porque comprende: (a) una secuencia de nucleotidos que codifica un polipéptido necesario para la formacion apropiada de las raíces, donde el polipéptido tiene una secuencia de aminoácidos con al menos 70% de identidad de secuencia, sobre la base del método de alineamiento Clustal V, cuando se la compara con una SEQ ID Ns 6, 8, 30 o 38; o (b) un complemento de la secuencia de nucleotidos, donde el complemento y la secuencia de nucleotidos consisten en la misma cantidad de nucleotidos y son 100% complementarias.
