Abstract
Se describe un sistema para sellar un espacio en un pozo de perforación formando en una formación de tierra. El sistema incluye un cuerpo que aumenta de volumen, dispuesto en el pozo de perforación de forma tal que el mismo sella dicho espacio cuando dicho cuerpo aumenta de volumen, el cuerpo que aumenta de volumen es susceptible al contacto con el agua de formación que circula hacia adentro del pozo de perforación, el cuerpo que aumenta de volumen incluye un material de la matriz que contiene un compuesto soluble en dicha agua de la formación. Sustancialmente, el material de la matriz evita o restringe la migración del compuesto hacia fuera del cuerpo que aumenta de volumen y permite la migración de dicha agua de formación hacia dentro del cuerpo que aumenta de volumen por ósmosis, como para inducir un aumento del volumen del cuerpo con dicha propiedad al migrar dicha agua de formación hacia el cuerpo que aumenta de volumen.
