Abstract

Un método para operar una o más electrolíticas (43, 154, 243) para la producción de aluminio, la celda comprende ánodos inertes o sustancialmente inertes, en los cuales un gas contiene oxígeno (21, 126, 221) generando por el proceso de electrólisis en la celda se recoge y elimina de la misma. El gas que contiene oxígeno se introduce en una cámara de combustión (38, 149, 238) donde reacciona con un gas que contiene carbono (7, 116, 209) en un proceso de combustión. Las emisiones de CO2 y Nox pueden ser reducidas.
