Abstract
Un método para realizar una reacción química, que involucra la hidrogenación enantioselectiva de un substrato para obtener un producto quiral, usando un catalizador heterogéneo, bajo condiciones de flujo continuo, en un reactor de flujo continuo. La hidrogenación se lleva a cabo en la presencia de un fluido supercrítico, donde la mezcla que comprende los reactivos, el fluido y/o los productos puede tener una fase única o puede presentar varias fases. El catalizador se fija a un soporte y toma una forma ópticamente activa. Reivindicación 1: Un proceso continuo para la hidrogenación de un compuesto orgánico caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de: (a) mezclar una alimentación de un fluido inerte con una alimentación de un primer compuesto orgánico y una alimentación de hidrógeno; (b) ajustar la temperatura y la presión de la mezcla resultante en valores predeterminados de temperatura y presión cercanos o superiores al punto crítico del fluido, para producir una mezcla de reacción a partir de la cual se forma sustancialmente un único producto deseado, entre una pluralidad de posibles productos estereoisoméricos que podrían formarse a través de la hidrogenación del primer compuesto orgánico en una reacción selectiva, donde la elección de los valores predeterminados depende de los productos que pueden formarse en la reacción; (c) exponer la mezcla de reacción a un catalizador heterogéneo quiral para facilitar la reacción selectiva; y (d) retirar la mezcla de reacción, una vez finalizada la reacción, de la región del catalizador y aislar el producto deseado mediante la despresurización de la mezcla de reacción.
