Abstract

Método para producir células gliales radiales a partir de células madre neuronales, en particular por contacto de las células madre neuronales con el factor de crecimiento epidérmico (EGF), el factor de crecimiento de fibroblastos 2 (FGF-2) y/o TGFa. Se puede agregar optativamente el factor inhibidor de leucemia (LIF) y el factor neurotrófico ciliar (CNTF) para mejorar el efecto de EGF, FGF-1 o TGFa. También se proveen métodos para producir células gliales radiales a partir de células ependimales, así como métodos de proliferación de células ependimales.
