Abstract
Procedimiento y aparato para la producción de hidrógeno para una pila de combustible mediante las etapas que comprenden a) reaccionar un combustible que comprende un hidrocarburo y/o un oxigenato con vapor de agua, bajo condiciones de reformado con vapor de agua en un reactor de reformado, para producir una corriente producto que comprende hidrógeno; b) alimentar al menos parte del hidrógeno producido en la etapa (a) a una pila de combustible, para producir energía eléctrica y una corriente residual que comprende hidrógeno; c) reaccionar al menos parte de la corriente residual de la etapa (b) con un gas que contiene oxígeno en un reactor de combustión; y d) usar la energía térmica producida en la etapa (c) para aportar energía a la reacción de reformado con vapor de agua de la etapa (a), en donde el reactor de combustión está situado dentro del reactor de reformado para facilitar la transferencia de calor entre las etapas.
