Abstract

Un procedimiento de transporte para un gas húmedo emplea un intercambiador de calor submarino que tiene una primera y una segunda trayectoria de flujo separadas por una superficie de transferencia de calor. Se conduce un medio de transferencia de calor más frío a través de la primera trayectoria de flujo en una fase líquida mientras que una corriente de hidrocarburos más tibia que tiene una fase gaseosa de hidrocarburos y una fase líquida acuosa es conducida a través de la segunda trayectoria de flujo que enfría la corriente de hidrocarburos y calienta el medio de transferencia de calor. El medio de transferencia de calor es convertido por calentamiento en una fase de vapor que es conducida hacia un condensador pasivo asociado con el cambiador de calor submarino. La temperatura ambiente del agua marina que sumerge el condensador enfría el medio de transferencia de calor y lo retorna a la fase líquida para su uso repetido en el intercambiador de calor. Una porción de la corriente de hidrocarburos es convertida por enfriamiento en una pluralidad de partículas de hidrato de gas sólido, mientras que un medio de partículas sólidas transportado dentro de la corriente de hidrocarburos previene la formación de partículas de hidrato de gas en la segunda trayectoria de flujo. Las partículas del hidrato de gas se mezclan con los componentes remanentes de la fase líquida de la corriente de hidrocarburos para formar una suspensión de hidrato de gas que es retirada de la segunda trayectoria de flujo y conducida a través de una tubería submarina de transporte.
