Abstract
Un dispositivo para muestrear por lo menos un componente fluido biológico y medir por lo menos un componente objetivo dentro del fluido biológico. El dispositivo tiene por lo menos una micro-aguja que tiene un extremo distal abierto que se utiliza para penetrar la piel a una profundidad donde se minimiza el dolor y el sangrado. El dispositivo incluye además un gel hidrofílico dentro de la micro-aguja para muestrear los componentes fluidos biológicos y una celda electroquímica para medir la concentración de los componentes objetivados dentro de los componentes fluidos biológicos muestreados. En ciertas realizaciones, la celda electroquímica está integrada dentro de la micro-aguja, con lo que las etapas de muestreo y medición son efectuados completamente in situ. En otras realizaciones, la celda electroquímica está ubicada externamente a la micro-aguja en su extremo proximal, también se proporciona disposiciones de muestreo y medición de componentes.
