Abstract

Se fabrica amoníaco a partir de un gas de síntesis que contiene nitrogeno e hidrogeno sobre un catalizador granular en al menos un reactor a presion en el intervalo de 50 a 300 bar y a temperaturas en el intervalo de 100 a 600 degree C. Del reactor se evacua una mezcla de productos que contiene vapor de NH3, se enfría y de este modo se condensa y separa amoníaco. Así se forma un gas de circuito al que se le mezcla nuevo gas de síntesis y el gas de circuito se reconduce como gas de síntesis al reactor. Se conduce gas de síntesis que no ha reaccionado a través de un primer lecho de catalizador que carece de tubos de refrigeracion y a continuacion como gas de síntesis que ha reaccionado parcialmente, con un contenido de NH3 de 5 a 20% en vol, como fluido calefactor a través de un cambiador de calor. Se conduce gas de síntesis que ha reaccionado parcialmente a través de al menos otro lecho de catalizador que está recorrido por tubos de refrigeracion. Se conduce gas de síntesis que no ha reaccionado como gas de refrigeracion a través de los tubos de refrigeracion del otro lecho de catalizador y se conduce gas de refrigeracion calentado entre 300 y 500 degree C al primer lecho de catalizador. Los tubos de refrigeracion y el otro lecho de catalizador son atravesados por el flujo en cocorriente.
