Abstract
Se produjeron plantas transgénicas, protegidas contra patogenos bacterianos, que albergan el gen aiiA o un fragmento funcional o modificacion del mismo y expresan proteína AiiA funcional. Las plantas y materiales de plantas de la presente inactivan las moléculas de senal de percepcion de quorum patogenas bacterianas, eliminando así o reduciendo la produccion de factores de virulencia bacteriana que sean nocivos para las células y tejidos de las plantas. En donde dichas bacterias patogenas de plantas se seleccionan entre el grupo que consiste en Erwinia carotovora pv. carotovora, Erw. carotovora pv. atroseptica, Erw. carotovora subsp. betavasculorum, Erw. chrysanthemi y Erw. stewartii pv. stewartii.
