Abstract

Cable compuesto para transportar energía eléctrica y senales opticas desde una fuente o fuentes de electricidad hacia unidades energizadas eléctricamente que procesan senales opticas. El cable tiene uno o más tubos amortiguadores, rodeando cada tubo amortiguador, a por lo menos dos fibras opticas para suministrar senales opticas a por lo menos dos de las unidades, teniendo, cada unidad, requerimientos de corriente eléctrica y tension. El cable tiene una capa de conductores eléctricamente aislados trenzados de conformidad con la modalidad S-Z alrededor del tubo o tubos amortiguador/es, y el tamano de los pares de conductores se selecciona de manera tal de suministrar con seguridad la corriente y tensiones requeridas por lo menos dos unidades. El numero de pares de conductores es menor al numero de fibras opticas activas, lo que incluye conductores de repuesto. Preferentemente, los tubos amortiguadores son trenzados de acuerdo con la modalidad S-Z. El cable también comprende un miembro de resistencia y una guarnicion externa de plástico que rodea los tubos amortiguadores, los conductores y el miembro de resistencia. También se divulga un sistema de comunicacion de fibras opticas.
