Abstract

La presente se refiere a un proceso para preparar un éster de alquilo de un ácido carboxílico por transesterificacion, que comprende los pasos de: (1) hacer reaccionar un éster del ácido carboxílico con un alcohol y una cantidad efectiva de un catalizador de transesterificacion en una zona de reaccion para formar una mezcla compuesta por un producto éster y un producto alcohol; (2) pasar la mezcla de reaccion del paso (1) a través de una zona de separacion centrífuga, donde el segundo alcohol se separa del segundo éster. El proceso conforme a la presente permite tiempos de reaccion más cortos y mejores rendimientos del producto.
