Abstract

Un método y aparato para evaluar propiedades de la carne tales como el contenido de musculo magro, el porcentaje de grasa, el peso, la contaminacion, la terneza, mediante mediciones no invasivas. El método para la medicion no invasiva de las propiedades de la carne utiliza un escáner de absorcion de rayos X. El método incluye las etapas de: explorar la carne utilizando un escáner de absorcion de rayos X de energía dual para producir dos imágenes o matrices de valores representativos de las intensidades de los rayos X a dos niveles de energía, y procesar imágenes o matrices de valores para determinar al menos una propiedad de la carne explorada.
