Abstract

Un proceso para aumentar el rendimiento reproductivo de los animales de compania, tales como perros y gatos, que consiste en administrar al animal unadieta que incluye ácidos grasos omega-6 y omega-3 en una relacion de aproximadamente 3,5:1 a 12,5:1, aproximadamente. Cuando se alimenta a un animal empleandola dieta de la presente, se mantiene el nivel de ácidos grasos esenciales en el animal y el tamano de las camadas a través de los partos subsiguientes.
