Abstract
Un interferometro Mach-Zehnder de fibra optica asimétrico tiene primera y segundas fibras opticas conectadas a una primera region de acoplamiento y a unasegunda region de acoplamiento. La primera y segunda fibras opticas forman dos brazosinterferent es entre la primera y segunda region de acoplamiento. Paraformar la asimetría, la constante de propagacion de una porcion de la primera fibra optica en una de las regiones de acoplamiento difiere de la constante depropagacion en unaporcion de la seg unda fibra optica en esa region de acoplamiento. La estructura asimétrica provee 30 dB de aislacion en una abertura delongitud de onda mayor.
