Abstract

Esta invencion se relaciona con un fragmento aislado de ácidos nucleicos que codifica una UDP - galactosa -4- epimerasa. La invencion también se relacionacon la construccion de un gen quimérico que codifica toda o una porcion de la UDP - galactosa -4 - epimerasa, con orientacion en el sentido del marco delectura o antisentido, donde la expresion del gen quimérico da como resultado la produccion de niveles alterados de la UDP - galactosa -4-epimerasa en unacélula huésped transformada.
