Abstract

En un método para fabricar un cable de fibra optica que comprende unidades de fibra optica (12) dispuestas dentro de una vaina extruida (14),suministrándose polvo higroscopico (16) dentro de la unidad o unidades de fibra optica y la vaina, lasunida des de fibra pasan a través de un cabezal deextrusor (36) que extruye dicha vaina (14) junto con una cinta (22) que transporta el polvo higroscopico (16). La cinta está formada corriente arribade dicho cabezal de extrusor (36) en un canal enel cual se libera dicho polvo higroscopico y la cinta se adhiere a la superficie interior (24) dedicha vaina (14) por fusion a la misma.
