Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para asegurar un cable de fibra óptica que tiene un eje y un revestimiento plástico formable en capas, el cable teniendo una superficie plana que intersecta el eje del cable, el aparato comprendiendo: a. un canal; b. medios dispuestos en un extremo del canal para detener el cable en una posición predeterminada en el canal que coloca la superficie plana en u lugar fijo; y c. una grapa capturada que es movible en una dirección sustancialmente perpendicular al eje del cable entre una primera posición en la cual el cable es movible en el canal y una segunda posición que vincula y comprime el revestimiento plástico para asegurar el cable de fibra óptica en posición.
