Abstract

El presente invento provee una celda de flotacion que incluye un tanque y un impulsor dispuesto de manera giratoria en el tanque para suspender solidos ydispensar aire en una fase de pulpa o lechada en el tanque, generando de esa manera espuma a partir de la fase de pulpa. Una pluralidad de placas deflectorasestacionarias orientadas substancialmente de manera radial están dispuestas en el tanque para reducir el momento angular de la espuma mientras que mejoran elmomento radial de la misma. Cadauna de las placas deflectoras se extiende esencialmente a través de toda la capa de espuma y la fase de pulpa o lechada.
