Abstract

La materia prima que contiene tartrato ácido de potasio (KHT) se agita en un primer paso de reaccion con hidroxido potásico acuoso transformándose el KHTprácticamente en su totalidad en tartrato dipotásico (DKT). La solucion acuosa que contiene DKTs e agita en un vaso de precipitacion co ácido agregado a unvalor de pH de 2,0 a 5,0 generándose una suspension que contiene KHT cristalizado. De la suspension se separa KHT cristalizado, se lava con agua y se preparauna solucion acuosa saturada almen os con 80% en peso de KHT. De esta solucion se elimina potasio obteniéndose como producto una solucion acuosa de ácidotartárico de la cual se elimina, al menos parcialmente, agua.
