Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un método para producir acero para grandes moldes. De acuerdo con la invencion, este acero se obtiene mediante la fusionen un horno eléctrico seguido por una operacion metalurgica secundaria en una cuchara decalent amiento, siendo dicha operacion, seguida por un desgaseado bajoun vacio de menos de 1 torr, de hecho 0,2 torr, de una mezcla que tiene la siguiente composicion: manganeso, del 1 al 3%; silicio, < = 0,400%, fosforo,< = 0,015%, cromo de 1,5 a3,5%; mol ibdeno del0,25 al 1%; niobio, del 0,100 a 0,250%; de 100 a 300 ppm, de titanio o de circonio si fuese necesario; cobre,< = 0,300%; niquel, < = 0,300%; nitrogeno, < = 80ppm; oxígeno, <=80 ppm;calcio, <= 30ppm; de 15 a 50ppm de boro; de 0,10a 0,25% de carbono; azufre,< = 0,050%;aluminio < = 250ppm. También se propone el acero obtenido con dicho método.
