Abstract

Una herramienta de resonancia magnética nuclear (RMN) para conducir mediciones de una formacion de tierra que rodea un pozo de sondeo y un métodopara efectuar mediciones de (RMN) mientras se efectua el taladro. La herramientatiene la fuerza mecánica y la sensibilidad de medicion pararealizar las mediciones de la resonancia magnética nuclear de una formacion de tierra, mientras se perfora el hoyo de perforacion. La herramienta tiene un imánpermanente cuya direccion decampo ma gnético es substancialmente perpendicular al eje del hoyo de perforacion, un collar de acero de un material no magnéticoque circunda el imán, una antena posicionada fuera del collar, y un material magnético blando, posicionado en unarelacion determi nada con el collar y elimán que ayuda a conformar el campo magnético de la herramienta. Debido al collar no magnético, la herramienta puede resistir las condiciones extremas enel entorno del hoyo de perforacion mientras el hoyose está perforand o. La invencion también propone un método para monitorear el movimiento de laherramienta de medicion, a fin de tener en cuenta ese movimiento cuando se procesan las senales de resonancia magnética nuclear desde el hoyodeperforacion. El mét odo es empleado para identificar períodos de tiempo cuando las mediciones de resonancia magnética nuclear pueden hacerse sin que laprecision de la medicion se vea afectada por el movimiento de la herramienta o suorientacion espacial.
