Abstract

Se describen fragmentos de ácidos nucleicos aislados que codifican proteínas que inhiben la apoptosis, más específicamente un fragmento aislado deácidos nucleicos que codifica una proteína de factor 1 asociada con XIAP, su complementario y el polipéptido que la codifica. Con respecto de la presentesolicitud, se relaciona con un gen quimérico que comprende un fragmento de ácidos nucleicos que codifica una proteína de factor 1 asociada con XIAP,ligado operativamente a secuencias reguladoras adecuadas, donde la expresion del gen quimérico da como resultado la produccion de niveles alterado (es decirincrementados o disminuídos) de la proteína codificada en una célula huésped transformada, que también se revela, con respecto a los niveles producidos enuna célula huésped no transformada. En realizaciones adicionales se refieren un método para alterar el nivel de expresion de una proteína de factor 1 asociadacon XIAP en una célula huésped transformada, un método para obtenerun fragmento de ácido nucleico que codifica toda una porcion sustancial de unasecuencia de aminoácidos codificadora de una proteína de factor 1 asociada con XIAP y los productos que se obtienen.
