Abstract

La ferrierita tiene los iones intercambiados con metales de tierra rara trivalentes por medio de un método de intercambio de iones hidrotérmico. Elintercambio de iones se llevo a cabo haciendo contactar la ferrierita, donde las posiciones dei ntercambio de cationes están ocupadas por hidrogeno o unprecursor, con una solucion acuosa de uno o más cationes de metal de tierra rara a una temperatura superior al punto de ebullicion de la solucion. Después delintercambio de iones,preferentemen te al menos 10% y más preferente al menos 15% de la capacidad de intercambio de cationes de la ferrierita está ocupada porun cation de metal de tierra rara trivalente. Cuando se combina con un metal catalítico, como por ejemplo, unmetal noble del g rupo VIII, la ferrierita coniones intercambiados por metales de tierras raras trivalentes es util para desparafinar el catalizador que tiene una buena selectividad para lasfracciones de aceite lubricante, particularmente cuando sedesparafina un hidroisomerato de ceras Fischer -Tropsch.
