Abstract

Un procedimiento para generar electricidad a partir de gas natural (1) comprende suministrar aire (37) al lado del cátodo (20) de una pila decombustible de oxido solido (10); convertir en el lado del ánodo (15) de la pila de combustible el gas natural a hidrogeno y monoxido de carbono y dejarque se realicen las reacciones en el cátodo y el ánodo para producir una diferencia de potencial entre el ánodo y el cátodo en donde se produce un gasde desecho del ánodo que comprende agua ydioxido de carbono y alimentar el gas de desecho del ánodo desde el lado del ánodo (15) a un quemador de combustionretardada de cerámica (75) en donde se realiza la combustion de cualquier monoxido de carbono e hidrogeno que no haya sido quemado, sin la adicion denitrogeno al gas de desecho del ánodo.
