Abstract

Un método de dos pasos para controlar la intensidad de craqueo en el efluente de un horno de craqueo tal como un craqueador de etileno. Dichométodo comprende dos pasos: un primer paso para determinar el espectro infrarrojo proximodel efluente en línea, y el segundo para modificar latemperatura en combinacion con el tiempo de permanencia en el horno de acuerdo con lo determinado en el primer paso. El aparato incluye una fuente de luzmontada sobre un conducto para elefluente, un detector de luz montado sobre el lado opuesto del conducto respecto de dicha fuente luz, receptora de la luzemitida desde dicha fuente, un medio para proteger dicha fuente del efluente, un medio para proteger el detector de luz delefluente, un me dio para hacerfluir un fluido más allá de la fuente de luz a presion más elevada que la presion del efluente, y un medio para hacer fluir un fluido más allá deldetector de luz a una presion más elevada que la presion delefluente.
