Abstract

Se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar ésteres de ácidos grasos por transesterificacion de triglicéridos de ácidos grasos, en particular degrasas y aceites de origen animal o vegetal, con un alcohol monofuncional de bajo peso molecular enpresencia de un catalizador heterogéneo u homogéneo.Se extrae el éster de ácido graso, así obtenido, de la mezcla de reaccion con un agente de extraccion en un estado cercano al crítico. De esta manera seobtienen ésteres de ácidos grasos de altapu reza y con rendimientos altos. En calidad de agente de extraccion se emplea preferentemente un gas de bajapresion que a 20°C presenta una temperatura reducida de aproximadamente 0,7, preferentemente mayor o igual a 0,7. Los agentes deextraccion preferidosson el dioxido de carbono, el propano, el butano, el dimetiléter, el acetato de etilo o las mezclas de estos compuestos. En particular, provee unprocedimiento para preparar ésteres de ácidos grasos a partir de triglicéridosde ácidos g rasos que puede ser llevado a cabo en forma simple y con costosaccesibles y que permite obtener un rendimiento lo más alto posible del producto deseado. Además, el procedimiento permite que la reaccion se llevea cabo de formacontinua y con u n volumen de reaccion lo más pequeno posible.
