Abstract

El campo de aplicación se encuentra en el tratamiento de enfermedades mediante implantes que liberan sustancias medicamentosas. El problemaplanteado era lograr una liberación escalonada en el tiempo, de sustancias medicamentosasdiferentes o de dosis dieferentes de una misma sustanciamedicamentosa. Este problema se resuelve con implantes que están constituidos por un núcleo y por capas dispuestas de modo concéntrico alrededor de él. Elnúcleo y al menos una de las capascontienen sus tancias medicamentosas diferentes o dosis diferentes de una misma sustancia medicamentosa. Las partesque contienen sustancia medicamentosa están formadas por materiales polímeros, biodegradables con erosión superficial.
