Abstract
Un proceso para la coproducción de amoníaco y metanol en una planta que comprende una primera sección de reforma primaria (11) y una sección de reformasecundaria (12) dispuestas en serie, una sección de síntesis de amoníaco (13) y una secciónd e síntesis de metanol (22), que se distingue por el hecho que elamoníaco y el metanol se producen en procesos de síntesis independientes donde el calor necesario para la reacción de reforma en el proceso de metanol deobtiene, convenientemenete,por utilización del alto contenido de calor presente en el flujo de gas proveniente de la sección de reforma secundaria(12) del proceso de amoníaco. Asimismo, se protegen, como objetos accesorios, una planta para dicha co-producción y unmétodo para la modernización de dichaplanta de síntesis.
